Help Fran Fight With All Our Might!

Hi Everyone.  Since my mother's very unexpected and untimely diagnosis and subsequent chemotherapy treatment of Stage 3 Lymphoma have begun, we have been on the receiving end of so many kind words of encouragement,  thoughtful prayers and meditations.  It's been heartwarming, to say the least, to know how many people we have to count as loved ones. 

"What can I do to help?" has been the first question by most.  My response, until now, has been to continue to keep her in your thoughts and paryers.  But the reality is, there IS something more, something very concrete, that can be done.   We can help her focus on her RECOVERY and her FIGHT, rather than worry about things that shouldn't be taking mental or physical energy away from that sole focus.  

While she's being treated, she will not be able to work.  Further, as many of you know, she's a realtor, which means she's basically self employed.  Not being able-bodied enough to work, even temporarily, brings into question one's basic survival - much less keeping faith in the fight of one's life against an illness.  Yes, she has adequate insurance, but that doesn't cover things that don't stop for a cancer diagnosis, like basic ongoing living expenses and new expenses incurred due to treatment.   Then later on, once she IS able to work, she's going to need more support to get back in the real estate market.  

So with that in mind, and with so many loved ones wanting to lend a helping hand but, like me, are far away from South Carolina and can't be there on a daily basis, I am creating this fund so that you CAN help.  Right now, right here, by offering some peace of mind for my Mom.  I truly believe the age-old wisdom - IT TAKES A VILLAGE.  So let's be Fran's VIRTUAL VILLAGE and HELP HER FIGHT WITH ALL OUR COLLECTIVE MIGHT and put her mind at ease.   100% of the funds collected will go straight to her.
