Mom’s Recovery

My name is Carrie. I’m raising money for my mom. Back in February, she had half her right foot amputated due to an infection left by a blood clot that settled in her toes. (The infection also caused her to lose half her middle toe on her left foot.) Since then, she has had an additional two surgeries on the same foot, and her disability at work is getting ready to run out. She has been referred for a prosthetic, and she may not be able to work full time right away upon returning to work. She still pays all of the household bills as her two youngest children both have student loan debt and live with her rent free. My mom is the kindest woman I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She helps everyone she can, and we’re setting up this campaign in hopes that others will help her too.
