Rally for Cheeba

On Monday, January 5th, we took our little Cheeba to her favorite place, dog beach in OB. After returning home, Cheeba started slowly deteriorating throughout the night and eventually lost control and function of her back legs. We took her to a specialist in Sorrento Valley, who determined that Cheeba ruptured a disc in her lower lumbar. Surgery was her only option for a chance at life.
Cheeba spends her days at the CrossFit box. Most members who first meet her are inspired by her buffness and her all in attitude. She is the first one to greet you when you come in the door and the first to come over while you are lying on the floor after a workout with, "you okay? okay, let's go play" (drops ball).
Cheeba is a huge part of our lives and our CrossFit community. We made our decision to stand by Cheeba based on our attitude and commitment to never give up on anyone or anything, and believing everything in life deserves a second chance.
We are hoping to raise $5000 to help with surgical and rehabilitation cost in order to get Cheeba back doing what she does best; putting a smile on your face. The reality of this situation is that it was a difficult decision. In the end we choose life for Cheeba, a little dog that has inspired us and many of those who she has come in contact with. Even the veterinarian, who just met Cheeba, knew she is special and agreed to proceed with her surgery on faith that we will be able to find a way to raise money. We are asking for your help.
