JTC Trade Mission to China | 2018

Hello Everyone,
My name is Iman Berry; I am an involved and passionate youth residing in Windsor- Essex.
I was recently fortunate to have been selected as one of thirty ambassadors from hundreds of Canada's top leaders to represent Windsor-Essex as a trade ambassador for the Global Vision Junior team Canada trade mission to China.
While abroad our team focuses on promoting Canadian Culture and industry to Chinese businesses, government and community leaders. During this mission, Ambassadors will forge connections with Chinese businesses and leaders all while creating commercial and economic opportunities for Canadian Businesses. Partnering with Canadian business and enterprises, I will be able to create connections between these two diverse and thriving economies.
My focus is sectors such as education and agriculture and promoting these sectors on an international scale.
The cost of this life-changing mission is a total of $6000. I will be fundraising through community donations as well as regional sponsorships to cover the cost of my mission.
I am an involved youth in my community. I am not only an avid member of my school community but also a volunteer at various community organizations. At school, I am involved with various clubs including the Debate club, Mock Trial team, and DECA which is a business club. A combination of the skills that I have learned at these clubs makes me a great delegate. I am also the incoming GECDSB Student Trustee. I volunteer at organizations such as the Windsor Islamic Association, Plan Canada, and United Way.
Any funds raised go towards transportation, meals, accommodation, facilitation, and materials.
Any support would be much appreciated. Participating in this mission is a once in a lifetime experience. I am going to learn a lot on this global trade mission and if you could help make this dream possible I would be very grateful!
