Deposit for Home

My family and I have been looking for a home for over three months. I have three kids, two boys and a girl. We have been without a home, homeless and living in four different locations away from one another with friends, family, or hotels. We finally have found a landlord, whom is willing to accept HCV, after being denied and discriminated against, several hundred times by landlords who would not accept this program. During that time, we lost three homes, where the landlord decided not to work with HCV, tenant extended their stay, or the move in costs were too much.  The last would not work with the last one thousand for a deposit and tried to keep our Security money. 

This current home requires $7600.00 for our family to move in by the 15th. I have called and asked for assistance, of which YMCA has given $2000 and I have saved $3000 and HUD pays there portion. We need $1500 by March 15. 

My kids and I would like to finally be together again and we need your help. I am a single mother who works full-time at DWT law firm, I am also a legal student who would like to attend law school. We desperately need this home for stability. The process for searching and with HUD  is long. Please take the time to pledge what you can. This rental market has been eggregiously unfair to families like myself, with these requirements to move in to a rental, when we do not have such funds on hand. We do not want to be homeless, living in four different locations from one another anymore.
