On Thursday, November 8, 2018, the town of Paradise woke up and didn't know it was the last day of normal they would see for a very long time. The little town was ravaged by flames throughout the day, leaving many families literally running for their lives as apocalyptic flames soared around them. They left everything behind besides pets and loved ones. They lost it all that day.

The families affected by this horrific and devastating fire are still reeling a month later. Many are on the streets and many have no basic supplies for their families. One of the hardest parts for so many with children is the thought of Christmas. With nothing to give their kids, the holidays look grim.

My team and I want to get these families brand new books to give their kids on Christmas morning. Not only are books something to have to help restore normalcy, they can also usher in healing, the sense that life CAN go back to normal, and time to cuddle up with a parent or loved one for a good story.  Usborne Books and More offers a generous matching program for times such as these by giving back 50%. Our goal is to each raise $2,000 (for a total of $3,000) in books from each of my team members. Please consider donating $25, $50, $75 or even $100+.
