Baby Remington

Donation protected
Baby Remington was diagnosed with spina bifida while in his mother's womb. Kyle and Chloe made a difficult decision to proceed with fetal surgery on Baby Remington while still in utero. Studies have proven that babies who have the surgery to repair spina bifida while still in the womb have better outcomes then babies who have surgery after birth. The positive outcomes include decreased risk of death, improved mental function, and improve motor function. While the surgery proved to be a success for Baby Remington, mother Chloe got an infection. The infection was so serious that doctors decided to deliver the baby at 27 weeks. Remington Davids was born on 4 September, weighing 2 lbs 7 oz and 13.5 inches. He is certainly a fighter! However, still has many hurdles to overcome. While the spina bifida issues are healing well, the more serious concern now is function and development of his organs, mostly his lungs being that he was born so young. Baby Remington will have to stay in the NICU at UC Davis in Sacramento for several months as he continues to grow, develop and become stronger. Mother and father, Chloe and Kyle, will be staying at the Ronald McDonald house just a few blocks from the hospital. During this time, Kyle will commute to Travis Air Force Base for work, and Chloe will be taking leave from her work to spend her days with Baby Remington. We have estimated $15,000 for medical, living, and transportation costs for this amazing family. They are staying strong, and with the support of God, family, and friends, are remaining very positive that they will get through this. As a humble family, they have concerns about asking for help and support. However many friends and military family have reached out and asked for ways to assist. We know the MacCulloughs will be genuinely grateful for your support in any way, and any form of donation. Please help us to help this beautiful, strong, young family!
