Morgan McAlexander at the young age of 16 was involved in a terrible car accident on December 11, 2014, in which she sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Thousands joined us in praying and believing that God would completely heal her. At the peak membership of this page, some 5400 were following her story and sharing it with their Facebook friends.
Morgan had her 17th birthday while at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She spent a little more than 3 months in rehab at ACH. Morgan was discharged to Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA, on April 6, to continue her recovery. Morgan was recovering slowly and doing great. She was slated to discharge home on June 10, when she fell ill. She was admitted to Shepherd Center’s ICU on June 10, where she spent six days and then was transferred to Piedmont Hospital’s ICU on June 16, when her organs began to fail. She was once again fighting for her life. Every major organ was impacted by her illness, including her blood which became septic.
God’s plan was not to heal her here on earth, but in heaven. Morgan gained her angel wings on July 3. She was laid to rest on July 10, 2015, in her hometown of Conway, Arkansas. So many have been touched by her life, her story, and our journey. The final chapter of her life has not been written. We will honor her memory in the days ahead, so remaining members and standby for exciting news to come.
