I wanted to send a quick update regarding the disbursement of funds donated toward this campaign.

Any remaining funds after tending to immediate needs will be put into a savings for Jason's son ( who will be 5 in just a few weeks ). This savings will be released to him when he is of a reasonable age.

Please consider continuing to share this campaign with others who would like to donate as an investment in to his little guy's future.




 

Funeral service details : 

The service is this Sunday 10/1/17

Viewing will held from 1100-1300 at Trader's Funeral Home located at 12 Lotus Street Dover,DE 19901. At 1300, Pastor Carl Kraft will hold service and after the service the floor will be open for anyone to speak. Once that's done, the Navy honor guard will load Jason and he will be transported to Sharon Hill memorial park. Upon arrival to the cemetery, pastor Carl will say a few words and then the honor guard will perform a military ceremony... if you have any questions please let me know. It is with an extremely heavy heart that I tell you all that Jason has passed away. Please continue to lift the family up during this season. More updates about funeral / memorial will be sent soon.

The who:

This account has been set up with the permisison of the Rodriguez Family for Jason and his family. Jason was in an accident last week and is still in the ICU. While his condition has been showing improvement, it is still a very minute to minute scenario. This has obviously been quite an emotional situation for his family as they do all they can to support him and encourage the best possible outcomes. 

The what:

Currently, the purpose of this campaign is to take care of Jason's family while they travel back and forth to visit him at the ICU, which is 1.5 hrs ( one way ) from where they live. The goal amount is a rough estimate based on:

- The estimated cost of fuel from hospital to home & back 
- Estimated cost for time away from work
- Estimated cost for parking 

For an estimated stay of 2 weeks ( it has already been about 1 ) 

** The goal amount will likely fluctuate as time goes on  and we are given updates on him. Last updated: 9/20

The why:

If you know Jason, you know he is always down for helping those around him. As clearly indicated by his profession and role in the Navy and by his actions on the daily.

At the very least, right now, we can help by lifting the financial burden from his family's shoulders so they can focus on visiting Jason and caring for him during this season. 

Any amount of money that you can donate is helpful, whether it's $5, $50. Any contribution helps and is truly and deeply appreciated.

The campaign purpose / goal amount will change as updates are received and I will be sure to keep everypone posted.
