Thank you for reading. We are Bonnie Pipe's daughters and she passed on last night and is now with God, her husband, the "love of her life" and her parents and other family that went before her.
As most of you know, Bonnie was first and foremost an amazing mother and made countless sacrifices to ensure her children lived life and lived it fully. Bonnie did this by example, showing incredible strength, bravery, courage and grace as she faced obstacles and overcame them. She used this incredible life to give hope to others....Her passion was for the people of the Northern Cheyenne tribe and the alcoholics that suffer(ed) there. Bonnie led by example, rising out of poverty with her children, homelessness to college and then her work on her Masters degree and then doing the work she loved, helping those suffering. You can't forget how much FUN she was, people were attracted to her magnetic personality!!
She he was raised on "skid row" with her parents who started the first rescue mission in Billings, MT. These were always her "people" and she always fought for the underdog. She had always had a very strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and she found comfort in this relationship throughout her life. She was proud of being a Cheyenne, her sobriety (35 years) and her family.
Just just so you all know, she was so brave....extremely brave in her last days.
Many people in recovery have said that Bonnie "saved" their lives by supporting them in their sobriety.....the effects of her passion will ripple on for generations.
Her family desperately wants to give her the send off she deserves and there are no finances set aside for a funeral service. If you can contribute even a little bit, the money will go directly to the funeral service and burial of our beautiful Mom, Bonnie Pipe.
She deserves a dignified and beautiful service.
