Dave's Bipolar Exchange Trip

As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder last year. I had a psychotic episode with manic features that lasted the better part of two weeks. Once the mania subsided I became the victim of a never ending up and down battle with my mood. I spent 2 months in a mental hospital in total and only recently started working (if my mood permits it) on a casual basis.

After being off work for so many months I have been unable to raise the necessary funds to go on exchange to the Technical University of Munich, for their summer semester commencing in April. I’m going to the top ranking university to polish off the remainder of my degree and to, more importantly, spend valuable time with my girlfriend Elif, who will also be studying at the same university.
