Nesbitt Family CZU Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On the night of Tuesday, August 18, with almost no personal belongings, Bronwen and Angus evacuated from their home near the border of Big Basin State Park.

After surviving the first night of the fire, we learned on morning of August 20th that their home, remaining vehicles and all other belongings were lost in the CZU Lightning Complex Fire.

Bronwen and Angus came as immigrants from South Africa some 20 years ago. They restarted careers and have worked hard every day, being an integral part of their community. Bronwen, who is nearing 80, has continued to work as an independent aesthetician to support herself. Angus, a very skilled independent craftsman, has lost his workshop, tools and truck.

We are blessed to have them and the family dog safely with us. Funds raised will go towards supporting them as they slowly rebuild a new home and life.

Our hearts go out to so many other families and individuals who have been devastated in ways we can hardly begin to comprehend.

We deeply thank you for supporting Bronwen and Angus.
