2017 Junior Police Academy

The Guttenberg Junior Police Academy was started 8 years ago with the idea of building a relationship between law enforcement officers and the children in our neighborhood. It as grown to be one of the most elite Jr. Police Academies in the State of New Jersey. This week long course takes incoming 7th graders and teaches them dicipline, work ethic, honor, and respect for one another in a para-military style setting modeled after a regular police academy class. The Cadets recieve two meals, uniforms, certificates, and medals of achivement. We also provide transportation for all the trips and admission. Our instructors are law enforcement officers and EMT's with 2+ years of expierence. Cadets learn to march, salute, and drill. They  are also taken on law enforcement related trips daily, such as the Freedom Towers, US State Park Police, Bergen County Police Academy, and many more.
