Campaign for Christina Savage

My name is Pete McGoldrick, and I am organizing this campaign for Jonathan, a good friend of mine for more than 10 years, and his new wife.
Last year, Jonathan married to the love of his life, Christina Savage, on August 30th. Shortly after their wedding, Christina noticed she wasn’t feeling well. She went to the doctor, expecting a virus or infection. The results were much worse. In December, she was diagnosed with inter-ductal breast cancer, stage 2b.
Christina’s cancer is rare, and treatment is aggressive: chemotherapy and a radical mastectomy. As a result, Christina is currently on medical leave from her job at Rydell Chevrolet to focus on her fight and recovery. Jonathan, a service consultant at Simi Valley Chevrolet, works hard to help ensure Christina can focus on the fight for her life, and not on bills. However, the loss of Christina’s income has been hard, and the cost of cancer is immense.
At just 44 years old, Christina is a fighter. She endured chemo during the holidays, keeping a brave face for Jonathan and their four children, Samantha, Sydney, Timothy and Logan. But there is still a long road ahead.
Years ago, I lost my own wife to cancer. I know firsthand how mentally, emotionally and financially exhausting this horrible disease can be. It is my hope that, through this GoFundMe, we can get Jonathan and Christina back on their feet once she beats her cancer for good.
You cannot put a price on someone’s life, but please consider donating. Together, we can take the focus off the financial hardship of cancer, and let Christina, Jonathan and their kids embrace the many priceless memories that lay ahead.
