Eye care mission to St. Vincent in the Caribbean

Hello! My name is Clarissa and I am a Licensed Optician and a recently certified Ophthalmic Technician here in Canada. This August (2025), I will be joining a team of medical professionals and other volunteers on a mission to St. Vincent in the Caribbean to provide eye care. During the week there, our team of eye care volunteers plan to care for more than 1,500 patients. Each patient will receive a full exam and if required, get fitted for prescription glasses, readers, and sunglasses. At that time, the patient may also receive a referral for advanced eye care, such as treatment for glaucoma or cataracts. In some cases, our own ophthalmologists may provide these surgeries at nearby hospitals.
