Bahamas Hurricane Relief Fund

I am a Bahamian living in Miami Florida and feel helpless seeing my people who are very proud and never ask for handouts publicly. After the devastation that was done by Hurricane Dorian they now have no choice but to ask for assistance. I know the government is trying their best to assist everyone but the magnitude of the problem is so great, they are overwhelmed. 

The horrific updates spoken by the survivors is heart breaking. Dead bodies everywhere. The smell of death. Unable to get out of Abaco and Freeport.  Death toll rising. There is also an outbreak of Cholera now on Abaco, which is caused by eating food or drinking contaminated water.

The people of Freeport are confused why their situation isn’t declared an emergency. Many people lost their homes, families, friends, many dead and the hospital is at its brink. Please donate what you can. The funds will be used to put people in rental homes in Nassau(not tents) so that they can feel safe.

There are many apartments for rent in Nassau but without money it will not be possible.  I will fly down and make radio, media and/or newspaper announcements to meet with potential real estate agencies, landlords and home owners who would like to participate in renting their place. A two year contract will be put in place, which would allow the folk a sense of security, safety, time to heal, secure a job ( with the help of www.technerdsplus.com  staffing agency) and the necessary amenities. As of now, food and medical supplies are being provided which is wonderful, however folks need a home!
