As many of you know, I underwent major brain surgery a couple of years ago and ever since I have been navigating this new journey and focusing on recovering. At the time, what made it more of a shock was eight years prior we lost my dad to brain cancer. A couple of months ago I started to get awful pain in my head and I met with my Sydney based neurosurgeon who confirmed I have a “traumatic head neuroma” which is a lesion that is sitting under my head. We have been given three options, the first being a conservative approach which includes physiotherapy and strengthening classes to help with the symptoms. There are two surgical options also but both come with risks and like my neurosurgeon we really feel that any surgical intervention should be a last resort.

So for the next few months I will be doing everything recommended and also hope that the lesion stops causing problems that are impacting me daily.

A few people suggested we start this page to help with things like physiotherapy once my Medicare rebates end and other financial costs that arise when going through something like this.

We don’t have a set goal, we are just keeping this up while we are on this journey. We really appreciate any support at all either through prayers, well wishes, any donation is big to us and or sharing our page.
