<div>On March 26th, I was preparing for a long-awaited left hip replacement surgery, feeling hopeful for a fresh start. However, life took an unimaginable turn. Just days before my scheduled surgery, I suffered a tear in my aorta, a devastating event that caused severe damage to many of my organs. I was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, where doctor Ghaffarian performed aortic dissection surgery to save my life. While I began to heal, I faced yet another setback a serious infection that forced me back into emergency surgery to treat an infection, but doctor Horsley’s team discovered an aggressive E. coli bacterial infection. For days, I fought for my life once again, receiving eight different IV antibiotics around the clock at Southern Hills Hospital. Just when it seemed like I was turning a corner, the infection worsened. Another urgent procedure was needed to clear the infection. To give my body a chance to heal, doctors had to place a colostomy bag, a difficult but necessary step in my recovery journey. This has been the hardest battle of my life filled with surgeries, setbacks, and unimaginable challenges. Through it all I’ve tried to stay strong and hopeful. Now, I am humbly reaching out for help. I am in need of financial assistance, emotional support, and prayers as I continue down this long road to recovery. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference.
