Bobby was an amazing man.
He touched many people's lives and has left a big hole that will remain unfilled due to the extraordinary person he was. Christmas day he started developing what I thought was a stomach bug. Turns out he was having complications from diabetes that no one knew he had. His health decreased over a few days even with my efforts to help him keep fluids and light food down. He started vomiting blood and I immediately called and ambulance. Turns out he had developed ketoacidosis which is a severe and possibly deadly complication. Thanks to quick action he survived and stayed in the ICU for 14 days where he also developed MRSA and possible aspiration pneumonia. He was transferred to a rehab facility to cure the MRSA and get him back up and walking. After a week in that facility he was making great progress until he slipped in the shower and had the wind knocked out of him. From that point he couldn't catch his breath and his heart was racing (140-160bpm) all day. He was about to be sent back to the original hospital for ct scans and blood work when his heart rate plummeted and the medical staff were unable to revive him. He passed away January 19th. I was with him until the end.
With all of this care and post care he received I am worried we will not be able to pay the medical bills incurred on top of burial costs while ensuring we keep a roof over our heads and the lights on. Please if you can, donate to help us ensure he rests in a safe place. If everyone sent even $5 it would make a huge impact in our lives and his families burden lessened.
