Iliana's story




In July of 2014, Iliana was diagnosed with a severe and aggressive form of breast cancer that has since spread to other parts of her body. Since the diagnosis, she has gone through multiple doctor visits, MRIs, biopsies, mammograms, cat scans, bone scans, and ultrasounds.  She had a double mastectomy in November, and is currently going through chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

Although physically struggling these last few months - weight loss, fatigue, nausea, achiness, and hair loss due to the treatments - she continues to maintain an optimistic attitude.  She is filled with gratitude and treats every day like a gift.   What keeps her going is the love and support of her family and friends. 

In order to help with the enormous costs of treatment, and to help Iliana and her family maintain their quality of life during this difficult time, we have established this fund for friends and family to help provide financial support.

Iliana, Richard and their four children – EZ, Isaiah, Skai and Elin - cannot express in words how moved they are by the outpouring of love and support they are receiving.
