Help for my wife

Donation protected
My name is Mike, and I'm raising funds for my 33 year old wife, Chandra (her birthday is 09-07, right around when she'll begin treatment). About 2 1/2 years ago she was diagnosed with a rare tumor called desmoid tumor, in her left leg. It was causing severe pain, as it was invading muscle, tissue, and nerves. This is a rare tumor that has only about 4 people out of 1 million diagnosed each year. It's a difficult diagnosis to deal with it, as it is not quite a cancer, but behaves like one. While the tumor was not life threatening, it did become a huge problem. My wife was not able to do things she enjoyed doing, such as riding a bike, hiking, and much more. Even the simple act of walking could be too much. This was due to the pain that came on whenever she did these types of activities. The pain varied from mild aches, to charlie horse cramp like pains, to sciatic nerve pain, and everything in between. Because of this, she was not able to participate in a lot of family activities, with our two young girls (ages 7 and 4), which was not easy. There is no known cause of desmoid tumors, and no set treatment. Surgery is known to make it worse, as cutting into it may cause it to grow larger or grow back. And due to its shape, it would be impossible to get all of it. Chandra tried the wait and see approach, followed by medications. The tumor began to grow rapidly, and  in April of 2017, she underwent cryo ablation to freeze it. The thinking behind this was that it would be less invasive and less damaging than surgery. The cryo ablation managed to kill the tumor, which is now just sitting in her leg as a large dead mass. However, she was recently diagnosed with 2 new desmoid tumors, in her left leg. It was a less than 25% chance of getting new tumors. They are causing severe pain, as they grow aggressively, and she is on multiple medications around the clock for pain management. She has exhausted the non invasive and less invasive options, and due to the location of the new tumors, cryo ablation is not a viable option this time.  So she is now faced with doing chemotherapy. This treatment will be weekly, and over the course of a few months (to begin with). Not only will this be life altering for my wife, but it will be life altering for our family. I am raising money to help with her medical bills, as I am the sole earner because Chandra has been at home taking care of our girls. I will inevitably have to miss some days of work, and don't want my wife to worry about anything other than getting better. My wife always takes care of the three of us, before herself, as well as the house, groceries, bills, etc. The last thing she needs to worry about right now is medical bills. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated by all of us. I am hoping to raise the money within the next month, so that as the bills roll in, I am able to pay them.
