Carrick Fresh Start off to Kansas

We are Dan and Leann Carrick. We have been stuggling financially for quite some time but 2014 was particularly bad for us - Dan lost his job in May and despite applying for lots of positions was only able to secure 4 days of work in December with UPS for holiday deliveries. We borrowed money to pay the rent in December, got food stamps and still knew that without jobs to support ourselves - the rent wouldn't get paid in January or beyond. So we are moving to Kansas to live with our oldest daughter Elizabeth and her husband Brian. The labor market is better and cost of living lower in Kansas. So we need to get ourselves and our pets, Rufus, Moe (dogs) and Tigger (cat) To Olathe, Kansas by the end of January. There are already some job opportunities presenting themselves, so we are hopeful for the future and thankful to our daughter and son-in-law for their assistance.We are selling as much of our stuff as possible - but will still need to get carriers for the animals, rent a small truck, gas, meals for the trip and miscellaneous expenses that come with this kind of move, registering our car, new drivers licences, a small storage place for whatever we end up taking with us etc.
