Magoo Needs surgury.
He has a herniated disk in his neck, which is causing severe pain and almost total lack of mobility.
Before this tragedy occurred, Magoo was a healthy, 7 year old french bulldog/boston terrier mix who spent most of his time running and playing with his 5 "siblings"...Razor and Gage(pitt bulls), Dalton(another frenchie mix), Lucia(an Italian greyhound) and his best buddy Yogi(a toy fox terrier).
We always looked forward to Magoo greeting us at the door with a sock,a stick, a brick or whatever he could find that he just HAD to show us every time one or both of us came through the door.
My partner and I are at such a loss. We both had good jobs for years. Sadly, we were both laid off, which led to the foreclosure of our home. We were then forced to move and take lower paying jobs outside our "trained" fields and can barely make ends meet.
Currently, we are only able to afford medication for pain management for Magoo. Unfortunately, that means he is not really "pain free" and he is still pretty much confined to a crate.
We have to hand feed him, hold him up so he can go to the bathroom, carry him from one place to another and give him water with a turkey baster.
Propper diagnosis(MRI/CT scan) and surgery are about the only way to fix the problem, alleviate the pain and get Magoo back to his active, playful self, but this all cost thousands and thousands of dollars. The only other path to ease his suffering is euthanasia...
It is extremely difficult for us to have to ask for help, but we have no choice at this point.
We hope you can find it in your heart to help Magoo through such a dark time.
The thought of losing Magoo is unbearable...
