Dear Friends and Family of John P. Holland Charter School:
What a year this has been! The year 2020 has stretched us all and the families and staff of John P. Holland have risen to meet the myriad of challenges that the pandemic has thrown our way.
Thankfully, the new year promises some relief. Our hope is to open our doors, and do so safely. But we need your help.
Given that the transmission of Covid-19 is greatly reduced in the open air, we hope to build a number of outdoor spaces to address the academic and social needs of students while keeping our school community safe. In this, John P. Holland joins a growing number of educators who are underscoring the benefits associated with time spent outdoors, whether outdoor classrooms, gardens, or simply spaces for the community to convene. These spaces will outlast the pandemic and become treasured places for the JPHCS family. In that way, your contribution to our outdoor space initiative would become an enduring legacy for the school and its new campus.
