let's make a Dream Come true

What started as a fun way to make New Friends and get some new expériences during summer vacation ended up to be quite some adventure.

I'm Rita, this lovely Girls mom.  
Shelley's 19 and a  beautiful young lady with a huge Heart. Beautiful inside and out!
She'd put other's needs before her own. 
Always willing to lend a hand wherever she can.

Speaking French and Spanish and having quite a good knowledge of Dutch and English she could speak with about anyone around thé Globe.

Student in journalism and communication, Eager to learn, Joyful and very Outgoing...she would make our country Proud of having her as our Miss Belgium 2019. 

Having suffered quite a bit over thé past few years made her vision on our world change a lot...maybe that's what makes thé difference...inner beauty counting more than just thé outside packaging.

Myself, being unemployed although searching since two years now, can't help her out financially. That's why I créated this campaign because she really deserves It.  

Here's her story

" It all started in May 2018 when someone contacted me on Messenger.  Hé invitéd me to go to the présélection of Miss Belgium 2019.

I thought "I have nothing to loose but all to win" and so I went for it!

I had no idea this would bé such a breathtaking expérience... I got there not knowing what exactly to expect.

I already had been a finalist in Top Model Europe at 16, took of to Camp Up With People on my own when I was fourteen, stayed in hostfamilys, lived in Brussels, Flanders and Wallonie, and even in Spain. 

But being asked to go to thé Miss Belgium contest was something very special.  Something I only dreamed of before.  I actually might represent my country if I got a ticket in. That was really something! 

So there I was... got through, got pictures taken, interview and off I went back home... 

A fb page was set  up, voting started ..  and thanks to some people whom I knew,  started my first steps as a MBW Candidate... had to give it all.

Getting out there to meet people, my banner on my shoulder was a very special feeling.

I met so many différent people in so many very différent places and everyone was so nice to me.  It felt just awesome to share my time in my community.

Summer brought the first official act where all 220 girls were presented to the press. 


I immédiately got along with the other girls, and got to know them even better during  summer events, especially thé other Girls from my province .

Thén thé moment of the election for thé provincial misses got Closer and Closer.

Rehearsals, and stress was slowly but surely getting to me!  I had chosen my favorites. Didn't think I had any chance but hoped I would at least bé runner up.

THE evening came. I felt so spoiled of even being there. 
Thé show was so much fun! 


We gave it all.  I was so nervous but also very happy.
Thé moment came were thé Girls were named, those who would bring there personal acts and thus Still bé in thé running. 

Théy called four Girls from my province. Couldn't béliève I was one of them.  And stresséd some more!  I had to sing in front off all those people being just me on stage... I listened to my heart and sang ... so scary ! 

Afterwards we dressed in our gala outfit...Now I really felt like a princess.  No matter what would happen next...I knew this evening I could never forget. 

It was very emotional being on stage with all thèse other waiting for thé verdict. First thé runners up from all three provinces that evening.

Oh my, I wasn't one of them... But I was happy for my two Friends who where. The other girl still left was one of my favorites ... So when théy called out "and Miss Brabant Wallon is ...... Shelley" 

I didn't know if I  was Dreaming or not!  Cry or Laugh...this was to good to bé true!  


I was crowned and pictures taken and press interviewing me...overwhelming . I was so happy!  



But....euhm ... ok.. Now what is going to happen next? 
Monday a visit to thé parliament to learn some more about belgian Politics.  


Two days later National présélection... Oh my oh my...


Now it's waiting on thé résults..  Hoped to get good news but on thé other hand didn't know how I did.  There were Still 50 Girls left  !  


A few days later... At Home..I got thé news I never expected...I Was one of thé 30 Finalists of Miss Belgium. Oh my !!!  Really?  Me? 

30 Girls left..thé aventure continues. 


Still can't believe I'm one of them! 

I'm sure I'll be a good représentative of my country !

Can't deny it...I Love thé glamour around It. 
All things I will sée and learn. 
All the doors It will open, the people I will meet ! 

But as Miss Belgium My biggest dream could come true... Travel to Cambodge and meet thé children Miss Belgium has been building a School for since 2013. 
It started small and is getting bigger and bigger.  And I'll do all I Can for them. 

But I'm not There yet!

I'm spoiled with workshops, gifts, even Travel to Turkey with thé other Girls ...

But a part of it all I have to pay for myself!
I Do my very best to raise money to pay for all It needs to get flyers,. Posters, votes, gala dress, and drivers licence...

But can't ever raise It all by myself, there's a lot of money involved...

THAT'S WHY I NEED YOU!

Can I count on you to make my dream Come true? 

I will truly go for it to the fullest...this is a once in a lifetime expérience I will never ever forget."
