Wanda's Lymphoma Recovery Fund

Hi and thank you for taking the time to read this.  I am Herbert King, Wanda’s older brother, and would like to try to do all that I can during her greatest time of need.  Wanda is a beautiful 29-year-old preschool teacher. She is a very selfless and caring person.  From an early age, Wanda has been forced to be extremely independent and has spent most of her life caring for others. Now Wanda is in a position where she needs help from others, and can no longer do it on her own.

 On December 8, Wanda had surgery to remove a mass on the right side of her neck, that had aggressively grown in the weeks prior, becoming very swollen and painful.  After the operation the Doctor informed us that she had Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. On December 29th, after several staging procedures, her diagnosis was Stage 2 B. Wanda has now started her chemotherapy and may have to have radiation therapy as well. She will undergo chemotherapy for the next 6 months. 

 All of this has been very sudden and tragic for my sister and all of us who love her. She will be out of work during the six months of therapy and possible radiation. We are all very hopeful and staying positive during her recovery. However we need help with the financial distress that she will endure during this process.
