JP Hope treatment at Mayo

Not many years ago a man found himself in our community, homeless, broke, suffering from amnesia and very ill. He found help thru various charitable organizations but eventually had to be admitted to our local hospital. After diagnosis he was deemed terminal and moved to hospice care, which is where a new beginning started. From the outpouring of love from others to miracles beyond human explanation the man whom we now call friend was able to leave hospice care and begin a fantastic journey to help people in need. His journey gives great compliment to his given name; Hope…John P. Hope to be precise.
Those who know John call his vision and drive to help others nothing less than astounding. With less than a dollar to his name at most any given time John has:
-Established a non-profit whose goal is to help the needy of his community; see Impossible Roads Foundation , and
-Actively inspired, driven, led and participated in that organization as it raised donations, determined needs and applied resources to help those in need
Activities of the organization have ranged from the simple, such as the yard clean-up for a local family who suffered with medical and financial issues, to the practical, such as raising funds from a major building supply retailer for the construction of tiny-homes to shelter homeless veterans, to the to the unprecedented, such as the construction of a community-need/disaster-relief nautical vessel.
John's vision and drive are all the more amazing because they are coupled with a spirit and personality that is gentle, kind and always demonstrating concern for those around him.
So it is no surprise that, when he finds his medical condition again worsening, that we, his friends, would act out to help him as he has helped so many.
John has been accepted to a clinical trial at the Mayo Clinic to treat his condition of multiple myeloma.
His need is now to get to the Rochester, MN facility and have his personal needs met while he undergoes treatment over a period of months. The excess funds, which we hope will be in the tens or hundreds of thousands, has been requested by John and arranged to be donated, in its entirety, to the Ronald-McDonald House and the Jesse Schuette Endowment for brain tumor research at the Seattle Children's Hospital.
As his condition has been worsening, his need is immediate so please consider, pray, and act with a generous heart as John has so purposefully demonstrated to us.
