Support Theatre for Social Change

Hi folks,
If you haven't already watched the video above, please do, it's short and simple! That said, if you're considering pledging your hard-earned money to a project, it's also helpful to have the facts in old skool black and white, so here goes....
I'm a developing theatre-maker, based in Manchester. My aim is to devise and direct performing arts work that empowers ordinary people to take action together for positive social change.
I'm currently developing an exciting, new theatre piece, called Joy Unspeakable, that will reveal the true story of my own battle to overcome bulimia. Others who are still struggling need to know there is hope, and a way out. The show will be premiered as a works-in-progress piece at the Octagon Theatre Bolton's first ever Reveal Season in June 2016.
I need to raise £3000 to cover the essential costs of:
* sound and lighting equipment
* transport of people and equipment
* artist fees
* insurance
* marketing
We hope that the performances during the festival from 14th - 25th June will attract further investment and key partners who can support Joy Unspeakable to a second phase of creative development. This would result in a longer performance run of 2-3 weeks, and possibly a small scale tour of venues in the North-West.
However, in order to get to that point, we really need this first, crucial £3000 of seed-funding. The invitation to present Joy Unspeakable at the Octagon's Reveal Season is an incredible opportunity, that we don't want to waste. Your support will enable us to bring this production to fruition in June.
Thank you so much for considering this. In the digital noise of the 21st century, we really appreciate you taking the time to think about it.
A huge thank you for any support you are able to give and if you can't, we really do understand. Please support us instead by sharing the campaign far and wide on social media.
Thank you so much!
Amy, Jules and Ian xx
