In May 2012 I journeyed to South Sudan to visit a children's home in Yei. 100 children ages 3-17 greeted me there: some smiling, some held back and fearful & some I chased around until they let me hold them and hug on them as they squealed, embarrassed :)
I fell in love with them.
With their sweet faces.
With the potential.
With their heart wrenching stories.
With the HOPE of Jesus in the worlds newest nation.
And now, I shall return in mid-December for atleast 6 months to mother, disciple, love on, and help raise up leaders in the children's home as well as help them see & learn to dream beyond TODAY. We will be working under the local Sudanese and intend to learn from them. Our goal is to have them continue to own it, but to help facilitate some things while we are there to improve some current conditions and to encourage discipleship and leadership in the orphanage and the surrounding community.
The Lord has asked me to obey and GO not knowing how long I will be gone, and so this is the start, only a start of 6 months not knowing if it could extend or not.

I need your powerful, passionate prayers as I journey once more overseas. For wisdom, for safety, for health, for a TON of energy to spend all of myself on these children as long as the Lord says, "Yes, stay."
I need your financial support so I can physically be with these children, next to them, walking them to school, listening to their stories, helping them process their past and launching them towards a future of LOVE and greatness in the Lord and in their new country.

Estimated start up expenses and what it includes:
Flight there and returning flight (roughly $2,500 for that alone) staying in Entebbe until I can fly out to Yei (flies out only twice a week to Yei) and flight home total start up expenses buying a bicycle, pots, pans, and things needed for own place. etc= 4,500
