<div>As many of you may know, Joyce was diagnosed with cancer last year (7/18/24). It’s been a really tough path for Joyce, but as many of you know… Joyce is a bright light. I don’t think she’s talked about it in public too much, but Joyce was diagnosed with rabdomyosarcoma which they believe originated in her uterus. Typically, this type of cancer is a found in pediatrics which makes it rare in adults. It’s even rarer for adults to have this in the uterus. From my understanding Joyce is the 9th person to have received this type of diagnosis. Unfortunately, is highly aggressive, chemo resistant and the cancer has spread to other parts of her body which would make her stage 4.

<div>	Despite her diagnosis, Joyce has kept positive all this time. She fought with everything she had for more than a year, but at the end she lost her battle. Joyce passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home. To those of you who knew Joyce, she was truly special. She cared for everyone she met, and was very thoughtful even if she just met you. She was truly a ray of sunshine. Joyce was so bubbly and happy, and while cancer took many things from her, it did not take away who she was.

<div>	I thank you all who have been there for us throughout this difficult and long year. With that being said, if you’d like to support us financially Joyce and I would be greatly appreciative. These donations would be for medical expenses that have accumulated over this past year and for funeral costs. <div>Como muchos de ustedes saben, a Joyce le diagnosticaron cáncer el año pasado (18/07/24). Ha sido un camino muy duro para Joyce, pero como muchos saben… Joyce era una luz brillante. Creo que no habló mucho de esto en público, pero a Joyce le diagnosticaron rabdomiosarcoma, que se cree se originó en su útero. Normalmente, este tipo de cáncer se encuentra en pediatría, lo que lo hace raro en adultos. Es aún más raro que aparezca en el útero de una adulta. Según lo que entiendo, Joyce fue la novena persona en recibir este tipo de diagnóstico. Desafortunadamente, este es un cáncer muy agresivo y resistente a la quimioterapia, y se había extendido a otras partes de su cuerpo, lo que lo convertía en un cáncer en etapa 4.

<div>A pesar de su diagnóstico, Joyce se mantuvo positiva todo este tiempo. Luchó con todas sus fuerzas por más de un año, pero al final perdió la batalla. Joyce falleció en paz, rodeada de sus seres queridos en casa. Para quienes conocieron a Joyce, ella era verdaderamente especial. Se preocupaba por todos los que conocía y era muy atenta incluso si recién te había conocido. Era realmente un rayo de sol. Joyce era alegre y llena de vida, y aunque el cáncer le quitó muchas cosas, nunca le quitó su esencia.
