Flower Power

I’m wanting to spread the joy of 'Flower Power' at this tumultuous time of the COVID-19 pandemic.  I’m looking for donations to help me make flowers and distribute them free of charge in my community of Banff.   I believe flowers and the act of giving (Flower Power!) have the ability to uplift and bring joy, inspiring hope and positivity to support mental wellness.  I would be donating flowers to: people who need a lift or are struggling, healthcare workers, welfare centres, and recently laid off workers due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  


This past week, I offered free flowers (see photo's) from out the front of my closed flower shop to brighten people's day during this tough time.  Seeing everyone's joy and gratitude ignited within me the desire to keep offering free flowers to bring joy into more people's lives throughout this challenging time.  We all know these are tough times.  I believe these Flower Power gifts have the very big potential to inject beauty and serenity which will help lighten people's mental load.  With your help I can continue to make and (hygienically) distribute cute mini Flower Power bouquets to those enduring difficult times.  

How you can help. I’m looking for donations to help cover the cost of providing mini bouquets over the coming weeks to those who need a lift.  Your donations will help to pay for wholesale flowers and overhead costs (e.g wrapping paper).   Your donations will only go towards floral costs as I will be donating my time towards the organization, creation, and distribution of the mini Flower Power bouquets.  Together we can help brighten many peoples lives in this challenging time!  




I want to keep giving and start the fundraiser ASAP!  I would like to start this project as soon as donations come in, as it takes about a week to order and receive flowers, so we can start spreading some positive Flower Power!  I have asked the Grizzly House in Banff who are distributing Free Meals to Banff senior residents in need and they are willing to deliver the flowers alongside their Free Meals that they generously offer every other day!  These residents would be among the first recipients of the flowers.




Thank you for anything you can contribute, thank you for believing in this project as strongly as I do.  I am so grateful to have the opportunity to share flowers to those most in need.  I am so thankful for your financial support, I couldn't continue these Flower Power gifts without you.  I believe in the transformative essence of flowers and the act of selfless giving.  I know we all feel the heavy emotion from this pandemic, if you want to gift some joy into people's lives, here is a safe way to do so. *Please note my flower store is closed and only deliveries or curb side pick-up will be implemented.  Currently as the sole worker I have minimized the risks via physical/social distancing and strict hygiene practices.  I will further reduce exposure to recipients by offering a drop off delivery service so no face to face transmission will occur.  I will continue to adhere to the strict hygiene guidelines outlined by the Government of Canada.
