On the day in question, I was photographing a building from a public area—an entirely legal activity—when law enforcement detained me without cause. Despite their own admission on body cam footage that I was doing nothing illegal, they placed me in handcuffs, put me in the back of their patrol car, and violated my Fourth Amendment right to be free from unlawful searches and seizures.
