My son, Joshua M. Devine went missing from a live aboard tour boat he was traveling on to a dive excursion in the Similan Islands on April 11th.
There has been no sign of Josh since then, only stories of what may have happened. I say "may" because the stories keep changing. We have not found Josh or the truth. The only thing we know is that the stories we are hearing do not add up. They paint him to be a reckless person, which he is not. They say he got drunk before a dive, but his first rule as a dive instructor, is NEVER DRINK BEFORE A DIVE. We have spoken to several people who were with him in the last minutes before he went missing and even those people, who will say he was drunk, admitted they never actually saw him drinking anything. We believe there was either an accident that happened and it was covered up, or foul play was involved.
Time is moving on, Josh is still missing and we have no answers. We are asking for help in raising money fund the search for answers and hopefully find Josh and bring him home. This will include a lawyer hired to protect Josh's assets at home, in the US and elsewhere, and a Private Investigator in Thailand to dig through statements, interview passengers and get to the truth of what happened to Josh. He will also check with neighboring countries for any possible information on Josh's whereabouts.
