Joshua Final Expense Fund

Donation protected

Life is so precious and as our family has learned is very fragile.  Our oldest son, Josh was diagnosed with Lennox Gastaut a very rare seizure disorder and demylenation of his white matter.  He had upwards of 100 clonic/drop seizures per hour. We were told that Joshua would be lucky if he lived 2 years, 3 at most. The best thing we could do was love him and keep him as happy as possible. Our tremendously strong little boy did almost leave us at 3 years old. A combination of seizure medications sent his kidneys into failure. After weeks in the hospital,  almost losing him and  drastic  medication changes , we were sent home  under hospice care and little hope. Joshua, the fighter he is,  proved the doctors wrong and slowly but surely recovered  and made a comeback. He has been the greatest son and brother and has made each and every day a little bit brighter for not only our entire family but anyone and everyone who met him. In recent months he suffered from severe GI issues causing unbearable pain and abdominal seizures. On Monday Joshua was taken in for what was supposed to be a routine endoscopy and colonoscopy. His already weakened body could not handle the procedures and he has since gone into organ failure. His stomach and intestines will no longer tolerate nutrition and he has been transferred to a pediatric hospice facility where he will be comfortable and we can remain with him for the remainder of his days. The doctor is uncertain of a treatment plan and we have moved him into a facility in which he can be more comfortable.  Seeing my poor little boy go through this has been a nightmare and I pray that anyone reading this does not have to go through the process of losing a child.  There are no words that I can write that can explain how devastated and how helpless our entire family feels.  I am a very prideful person and it kills me that I am posting this message but the current situation has left our family struggling financially.  My wife and rock, Sarah, cares for our three year old Benjamin and our five year old Jackson, who suffers from autism.  This leaves me as the sole financial provider for our family.  During this situation I have had to take a leave from work and it has been three weeks since I was able to assume my duties and may be a few more before we have processed all of this. While I am a very prideful person I am not too proud to ask for help when it comes to my family.  I would appreciate any kind of assistance that anyone can give so that we are able to take care of any final expense costs for our ever brave little angel.  If your not able to give I just ask that you say a prayer for our family and if you are able to give I appreciate your generosity from the bottom of my heart.
