Josh Moye's Battle Against Lyme

Donation protected
Josh is being treated for Lyme disease at Envita Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. After more than four years of struggling with chronic fatigue syndrome and finding that his symptoms were only getting worse, he was encouraged to find the root cause. In April he was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease Complex, which is comprised of multiple active bacterial and viral infections.

Josh and Amber began their life together with the hope of serving God on a foreign field. But after multiple ER visits for paralysis and constant health crises over the course of two years, Amber was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. During this time Josh worked full-time for himself, part-time at his church, and studied part-time in seminary. His health began to decline. In January 2013 Josh was diagnosed with severe mononucleosus. He dropped out of seminary and struggled to get off the couch. After several months, he regained some functionality, but had little physical stamina.

Last August Josh’s health again declined and he became housebound for weeks. His ability to work is still limited to low-activity tasks for a few hours per day. As Josh’s condition deteriorates, his  friends and family are concerned that he get serious medical attention.

Envita Medical Center is an integrative medical clinic that specializes in the treatment of chronic illness, including Lyme Disease and its co-infections. Envita has a track record of successfully treating difficult Lyme cases, often after failed attempts elsewhere.

Josh’s doctor at Envita has prescribed 8 weeks of treatment at the center which includes multiple IV bags per day, oral supplements and medications, and various detox therapies. The cost for the treatment plan at Envita is $67,000. Unfortunately, none of the treatment is covered by their insurance. The funds given will go solely to cover the cost of these treatments. Josh and Amber made the trip to Arizona from Greenville, SC to begin treatment at the beginning of May with plans to return to Greenville in July.

Will you please pray that God would use these treatments to completely heal Josh? Further, would you please pray asking the Lord what He might have you give to help Josh rally against Lyme?
