<div>My name is Jill Albanese. I am raising money to help my dear friend Angela DeVoto-Almquist and Rich Higgins' son, Josh. On Sunday, September 4th, 2022, Josh was riding his motorcycle home. He was going straight through his green light at an intersection when an oncoming car took a left and drove into him. The resulting trauma left Josh's right leg minimally attached by only tendons and muscles.

<div>Since his hospitalization, Josh has undergone four intense surgeries to save his leg. Unfortunately, at this time, amputation is not off the table.
</div>

<div>Josh has a lengthy recovery ahead of him. Regardless of the outcome, he will need to learn how to use his right leg again. Josh will require extensive Physical Therapy to regain strength, balance and gait control. He cannot work and will require additional surgeries in the future, either for preservation measures or possible amputation.
</div>

<div>In addition to being unable to work, Josh cannot attend MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute), specializing in Harley Davidson maintenance and repair.  This is where Josh's passion lies, with motorcycles.  His physical recovery will take time, as well as his emotional healing. This experience has been highly traumatizing. Through it all, Josh continues to keep his sense of humor, even when his pain is through the roof.
