I first met a Josh Green 4 years ago when he attended the FunSing school holiday workshop held in April 2013 in Ballina NSW . As the Director I was immediately impressed by his lovely attitude, nature & talent for both singing and performing!
Josh Green has only been learning dance since February 2016 at Karen Ireland Dance Centre in Lismore, a small school of 5 full time students.
His first dance competition was in January 2017 and since then he’s been accepted into Queensland Ballet’s senior program, received a 2nd place in an AICD competition in Sydney, an encouragement award from another AICD competition in Adelaide (3 places and 3 encouragement awards were given with over 70 dancers competing), he’s made the finals in the Youth American Grand Prix (a world wide competition to be held in New York in April ) and has been offered short term scholarships to The John Cranko School in Stuttgart, Germany and The Houston Ballet School, USA.
He has been accepted to go to Germany at the end of January for 2 weeks and Houston in April, where he will then go on to New York for the YAGP finals.
He will also be competing in events throughout Australia in 2018, Wodonga, VIC, Brisbane, QLD, Adelaide, SA and Sydney, NSW, aiming to win some scholarship money to help with his plan of training at an overseas school.
Any help would certainly be gratefully appreciated.
