Josette, a lifelong resident of West Branch, who worked for many years at Rau’s Tavern, has been battling cancer for the past two years. We have just found out that the cancer has spread to her brain and it is now terminal. She has been moved from Bay Med to Medilodge in Sterling. She needs to receive around the clock care. They require $3500 up front to cover the first 2 weeks and it is $250 per day above what Medicare covers. The money is being raised to pay for these expenses.
