Wedding Registry for a Cause!

Dearest Family & Friends,

Justin and I are honored that you'll be sharing in the joy of our marriage. We're blessed and grateful to have a home full of almost everything that we'll need. Please consider contributing to our alternative wedding registry, and help us raise funds to bless these charities that have played a significant part in our lives.

Our heart’s desire is to help provide air conditioning units to support Home Sweet Home as they “build a new home” and workspace, cooking equipment for San Francisco City Impact’s new TL Munch ministry, and gym equipment to support Project Bayview’s goal to incorporate health and wellness as part of their leadership development program.

Home Sweet Home is near and dear to my heart. I first met my friends at HSH on a volunteer trip to Shanghai in 2010 and have since returned to visit 3 times. The beloved trainees ignited a fire in my heart to love, befriend, and be a voice for the often “forgotten people.” My friends inspired and partnered with me to launch my socially responsible fashion line BonBonSew.  (Read the story here: www.bonbonsew.com/a-place-to-call-home ) Home Sweet Home’s vision is to love and equip the homeless, disabled, and above-aged orphan community in Shanghai, China by providing them with a place to call home, basic life skill training, personal development, and vocational training.

I started serving in City Impact’s Adopt-a-Building ministry in 2012, and immediately fell in love with my brothers and sisters in the Jefferson building. City Impact "exists to intervene on behalf of the people in the inner city of SF." They provide meals, healthcare, education, job training, discipleship and fellowship to the homeless and needy community in the Tenderloin. My friends in the Jefferson building are not “forgotten people,” they have become my family.

Project Bayview is another ministry that has captured my heart. It was started by a friend who is a living testimony of God’s amazing grace and redemptive power. It has been such a blessing to witness the transformation in his life and I joyfully support his mission to “help [other] people coming out of difficult situations change the course of their lives by providing a loving and supportive community around them.” Project Bayview is a men’s group located in San Francisco’s Bayview District and offers leadership development, mentorship, housing, career development and employment. They seek to affect change by raising up local leaders who will take everything they’ve learned back to their communities.

Thank you for taking the time to consider partnering with us and our dear friends.  We’re so grateful for all the love and support you have given us through the years and are excited to share our big day with you!
