On Monday 7-17-2017 at approximately 6:30pm Jose T. & Angela Diaz from Elko, Neveda lost everything in their home when the house caught fire from the Oil Well Fire. The fire has burned 7466 acres and their home was completely burnt down. Mr. & Mrs. Diaz & children (Jesus, Javier, Christina & Gracie) are natives from Bayard New Mexico (Grant County) and moved to Elko, Nevada where he continued to work in the mining industry. The family has lost everything with no time to retrieve anything from their home because of how fast the fire moved on the area. They are currently staying with family and friends who offered their homes to the Diaz Family for the time being as they recover from this disaster.
