Jose 'Hidalgo' Salcedo Recovery

Donation protected
Jose 'Hidalgo' Salcedo has always been a hard worker, a good man who never complains about anything, and above all an amazing grandfather. He is always there to lend a helping hand when anyone needs it, and has been working to support his family for his entire life.

This August, Hidalgo was struck with an extremely rare anti-inmune condition called Guillain-Barré syndrome  (GBS).  GBS is a disorder that causes the body's immnune system to attack its own nervous system, resulting in paralysis and sometimes death.  Although he was treated before the condition became deadly, it has left him completely paralized from the neck down.
Over the past four weeks, Hidalo has been able to make some recovery and can now close his hand slightly, and has begun to move his legs.  Regardless, he has an extrememly long and hard recovery ahead of him before he will be able to walk again.  According to his doctor, recovery could take 8 months to a year, and maybe even longer.

Hidalgo is curently being cared for at an assisted living facility where he receives several hours of physical therepy every day.  He is extremely determined to recover, and works hard every day towards progress. Hidalgo has a great attitute and and is extremely positive about his situation, and his top goal is to walk again.

Our family is creating this GoFundMe page to help with his living and medical expenses throughout this tough and sudden situation.  Any  help is appreciated.
