Jose Cortes is a working class, socialist organizer who has been on the frontlines of the struggles for affordable housing, immigrants rights, and racial justice in San Diego.
The mainstream political parties represent the interests of the capitalist class. Corporations and the wealthy have waged endless attacks on the working class. They have done everything to prevent us from earning a living wage and fighting for our human and civil rights. From the beginning of this country’s history they have massacred people trying to remain on lands that they are native to and depend on for survival.
They have managed to sustain their power through violence. Violence in the form of police brutality, war, racism, poverty and misogyny.
Jose Cortes is a candidate of the people.

-Reparations for communities and nations that have been historically oppressed
-No more endless war that only benefits the wealthy and kills working class people. Close all military bases and bring all the troops home.
-Make quality healthcare and college free and accessible to all.
-Abolish ICE and Close the Concentration Camps
-Jail killer cops.
-Environmental justice now! For the planet to survive, capitalism must end.
