JORDAN'S MEMORIAL

Donation protected
Jordan's Fight is about a 20yr old young man who was diagnosed with Colon Cancer at age 17. The cancer has recently metastasized throughout his stomach and advanced to Stage 4.

However, Jordan’s Fight started not long after the day he was born... Jerry and Gina were only teenagers when they had their precious little boys,  Devante and Jordan, just one year apart.

Since day one Jordan has dealt with asthma, allergies and the worst case of eczema doctors has ever seen. His eczema was so severe, his skin often got infected. The doctors prescribed several medications, including steroids and growth hormones, which never worked.

Then one day in May of 2003, Devante and Jordan’s dad, Jerry was shot and killed just a few blocks away from their home in Baldwin Park. As you can imagine, it devastated their family.

Nevertheless, Gina took on both roles as mother and father. She knew that if she continued to put God first in their lives, everything would somehow fall into place.  Even though the boys grew up without their father, they feel very  blessed to have their loving grandpa, John, in their life. He’s helped tremendously, making sure they did good in school, sports and chauffeured them anywhere they needed to go.

Because of Gina and her dad, John, the boys have grown up to be the most loving, respectable, God-fearing young men  with the biggest heart and sense of humor you would ever meet.

Everything seemed to fall apart in Spring of 2016 when Jordan was complaining of stomach pains... Gina took him back and forth to the E.R., but they kept sending them home with different medications. After 3 weeks, the doctors finally  took some x-rays, which he was then rushed into emergency surgery to remove a huge mass. Chemotherapy shortly followed as a precaution and by Spring of this year, he was told to be “cancer-free”...

Jordan was feeling like he was on top of the world for about a month, when he started feeling pains in his abdomen. Then AGAIN, back and forth to the emergency room. After about a month of x-rays,  CT scans, pet scans, and even a colonoscopy, the doctors performed a biopsy which confirmed their worst fears.

Jordan has undergone several procedures and a few excrutiating rounds of chemotherapy. At times, the pain is so unbareable for Jordan, he says, “I Just Wanna Be With My Dad In Heaven Already But I Don’t Wanna Leave My Mom and Brother”...

The doctors are left offering little to no hope and have recently been pushing for hospice.

If it wasn’t for their faith and everyone’s continued prayers, Gina couldn’t imagine making it this far. However, she knows now, it’s okay to ask for help... Whatever money you are able to donate will help out tremendously as they have turned to alternative medicine, which is not covered by insurance.

Please continue to PRAY HARD for this family and that Jordan will win his fight!!
