Hi Family and Friends! Jordan here! I have an exceptional opportunity to study abroad this summer in Madrid, Spain! As a current International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma program student at Eastern High School in Washington, DC; I am studying the Spanish language and culture. It is so exciting to have the opportunity to apply the philosophies and principles I’ve learned so far
in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. In the IB program it teaches me how to be open and respectful of cultures and to try and see things from a point of view other than my own. I also intend to represent my family and friends from the USA very well.
This opportunity is so important to me because the immersion in the language and cultural will allow me to learn first-hand the subject matter I am studying in school. Oh and did I mention I am a National High School Honor Society member with a GPA of 3.72!
But in order to have this wonderful experience I need your help to me make this opportunity come to life. There are many expenses I will have to cover such as: airfare, food, lodging, school supplies and activities in Madrid, cultural excursions, and much more. I know $5,200 is quite a bit of money, however if 104 kind and generous family and friends such as yourself donate $50 each I will reach my goal! However, any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
My goal is to have the funds raised by June 25, 2018 ahead of my July 7th departure. With your help and support I look forward to spending an amazing summer in Madrid, Spain increasing my education.
