Jordan's Surgery Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Jordan is having open heart surgery April 4, 2018 in New York City. The surgery is to replace his aortic valve due to a congenital heart defect, and we are happy to say that there is an excellent prognosis for both the surgery and his condition following it.

The problem comes with his recovery period, though. Jordan will not be able to climb stairs for four weeks following his procedure, and he will need care throughout this time. Thus, Deborah, his mother, is going to spend the month following the surgery with him in New York. They are going to have to rent an apartment for that time because Jordan's current home does not have an elevator and is above the first floor.

Currently, the prices of places to stay that meet both his medical needs and the needs of his caretaker, Deborah, are running between $3600 to $4000 a month. This does not include travel expenses to and from New York for family members, food, costs of care and transportation during this time period for both Deborah and Jordan.

The numbers are starting to add up quickly, and some of our family and friends have been kind enough to offer to help offset these costs. We are creating this Go Fund Me page as a way for you to do just that.

Jordan and his entire family are so grateful for any assistance you can provide. The generosity and love extended to Jordan has been amazing, and we are so grateful to have each of you as a part of this journey. Together, we will get Deborah to New York, an apartment rented and Jordan healthy with his brand new mechanical valve to start the rest of his life!
