Jordan White needs a wheelchair accessible van

My good friend Jordan needs some transportation and independence. I am hoping we can raise enough money to get him a used van that he can drive from his wheelchair. In 2004, at the age of 14, Jordan was involved in a bad ATV accident that broke the vertebrae in his neck leaving him a quadriplegic. After the accident he spent a long time in children’s hospital where the doctors told him he would never be able to do the things he loved. Well, they didn’t know Jordan! He has really proved those doctors wrong. Jordan refuses to give up. He has such a positive attitude that is infectious! He has become a great friend to me as I have adapted to the changes being a paraplegic brings. He inspired me to start racing in my Polaris RZR after I saw him racing. I’m asking for your help because I would really love to help him get a van that he can drive himself without relying on his mom. For me, the freedom of getting out of the house, by myself, has made a big difference in my feeling of independence since my motorcycle accident. At this time Jordan relies on his mother to go anywhere and everywhere. Right now she has to pick him up out of his wheelchair load him into the passenger seat, then she has to load his chair into the back of her truck. Being a quadriplegic means he needs a very specialized vehicle. A new van that he could drive would cost him close to $100,000. Rather than purchase a new vehicle, I have found multiple used vehicles that would be perfect for him that cost much less, approximately $20,000.

Jordan’s mom is an amazing woman that will do anything for her son but she needs this van as much as he does. She would love to see her son drive off and have some freedom. He has job opportunities that are available if he has transportation.  Once we get the van we are going to have it wrapped.
