Jordan Gortat Fights Tumour

Hi All,

Matt Gortat from the Robe Valley has been working with Otraco covering both Mesa J and Mesa A for the last 13 years. Prior to this he worked in various roles within Pannawonica and Mesa J totaling close to 20 years of service to the Robe Valley.

Matt and his wife Sarah found out their son Jordan (aged 7) had a brain tumour recently. The tumour was so large that it was restricting the fluid in the brain from draining.

Jordan has recently undergone surgery to remove the tumour from his brain leaving Matt, his wife Sarah and their 2 daughters waiting to face what further treatment may be needed.

Jordan will start intense rehab in the coming days.

Due to the extent of the surgery and the toll this would obviously take on the family, I have created this page to help fundraise in an effort to financially help Matt and Sarah through these current times.

Mental Health within our workplaces/communities affects each person differently. Support, both physically and financially go a long way towards helping people in situations similar to Matt through stressful times.
