As I near the completion of my Masters of Science degree with George Mason University, I decided to become more involved with field work- specifically women and children in refugee camps. This fundraiser has been created to allow for me to continue my studies overseas and participate in a week trip in Amman, Jordan.
This is a service-learning course that allows me to sit down with the victims of the Syrian Civil War and gender based violence, the refugee situation and the realities of the conflict on the ground are severe and devastating.
This field work emulates my life passion, the passion to help those who need us most. I decided to participate on this trip to gain the knowledge, and to first hand understand my place in helping these marginalized women and children re-build and conquer the atrocities they face daily.
