Jon's Stolen Gear
Donation protected
I have a feeling I know many of the people reading this. For the past 20 years, my life's goal has been to lead worship and to help prepare and pour into others with a similar calling. I've loved how God can be praised by my music and how relationships can be built over similar callings and passions.
Before heading to church on Sunday morning, I realized my car was broken into and over $2,000 in music and production gear was stolen. Not only have personal boundaries been crossed, but precious gear that has been acquired over the years has been stolen. Gear that I used to not only lead worship, but gear used in the training of young worship leaders across the country.
I've strongly debated in how to move forward, and whether or not to even do something like this. I don't want anyone to view this as looking for some sort of hand out, but for those in a position donate, please know this is not just about replacing stolen gear. I believe God will restore what was taken some way or another. This is a way for people to pour into me as I pour into others. These donations will allow me to replace gear that was used to lead others in worship, gear used to teach others (especially students in middle and high school) and gear used to bless others as I assist multiple churches and worship artists as they've made and continue to make music.
As I account for all the items stolen, I've remembered how this gear has traveled with me throughout middle and high school in Miami, and even gone all around the country. How I've poured into musicians and people who are now in full time ministry, and how my calling isn't deterred by mere material items.
Please leave a story of us worshipping our God together and if you feel called, share across your friends, family, and social media. God bless and I hope to worship with y'all soon!
