Refugees are Suffering .....Help !!

Hi Guys and Gals,

My name is Jonny O Malley and as you can see from my very nervous video above I am heading to Greece and possibly Macedonia or Turkey to help out with the refugee crisis. I am looking to go mid June for a month or maybe longer depending on the situation and how long I can keep myself financially also.

 I will be working closely with The Starfish Foundation please see their details here: http://www.asterias-starfish.org/en/ you can follow them on Facebook etc if you want also. This group setup to help refugees coming from Syria and Iraq plus other countries looking to flee the war there, as you see on the news every day innocent men, women and children are dying and they need our help.

The way it works with Starfish is they work 24 hours a day so I will do an 8 hour shift 5 or 6 days a week, these shifts run around the clock which is important as 1,500 people are arriving on the island each day and do so by day and also by night.

I wont get into the political side of things that unfortunately come with talking about refuges – I just want to go and help as best I can by giving food and shelter and trying to cheer people up and let them know that there is hope.

Im looking for €2,200 – this is to go towards my flights, my travel when I get there as I may need to move about where ever the refugees decide to go, ill go with them. I need to put a roof over my head and eat while I am there also. This will be the main costs but I need injections, some certain clothes and a heavy duty backpack. Also as I can bring two carry on bags with the airline im going to travel with, one of these I want to fill it with socks, under ware and shoes for men and women, this way I can bring aid down myself, and yes I to am hoping I don’t get stopped at the boarder with a suitcase full of under ware but that it is a risk I willing to take haha.

Please help if you can, your money will go along way to helping so what ever you can spare would be great. Ill keep you updated online as I travel so you can see the hard work I will be putting in.
